Pray Without Season

"Dear God, please bless the words of my mouth, and the meditations of my heart, that You may find them acceptable unto You, In Jesus' Name"

We should never be too much in a hurry to pray. Thank the Lord when you wake and thank Him before you sleep. Commit the day into His hands and pray for those around you.

Prayer really works. We need to pray unfailingly in every situation we find ourselves in. In the good times and bad, we must pray. I don't know what you've been praying for in recent times, but they are already being answered. God is gradually manifesting His word in your life. Just you wait and see.

At times, it may seem that we pray tirelessly but God isn't listening; but the truth is that He always is. Nothing is truly impossible for our Lord to do, however, what we pray for might not be the best for us. If we keep praying for God to give us the spirit of forgiveness, in lieu to our expectations, He actually does give it to us. He presents an opportunity and we can either miss it or grab it. Countless times, He gives us opportunities that our prayers might be answered.

(Everyone prays I tell you. Even those who might be about to commit theft, murder, etc. They pray, but 'what exactly do we pray for'?)

"A few days back, I was feeling really down. I cried while in the shower and asked God to help. I told Him He was the comforter and should not overlook me in my weak moment. Then I thought of someone I could talk to whom I hadn't heard from in a while. When I got out of the shower, and wore my clothes, I noticed the red light on my Blackberry blinking. I checked to see what notification it was. It was her, she had sent me a forwarded message (I generally dislike forwarded messages) saying God had heard my prayers and I should rejoice. I was helplessly elevated from my sadness, and we started chatting." ----that was definitely God's doing.

Doesn't He work in mysterious ways? Sometimes we fail to see the little things He does for us and also fail to appreciate them. I am one who complains sometimes, but I am gradually learning to stop that. God has blessed me in uncountless ways and is just beginning. Prayer helps us talk to God; it links our souls closer with His.

We shouldn't be selfish in our prayers, and always remember to not only ask God to do something for you, but what you can also do for Him. Remember Jesus' prayer

"Abba, Father, all things are possible for You. Take this cup away from Me; nevertheless, not what I will, but what You will." -Mark 14:36

Humor of the Day:
As my five year old son and I were headed to McDonald's one day, we passed a car accident. Usually when we see something terrible like that, we say a prayer for those who might be hurt, so I pointed and said to my son, "We should pray."
From the back seat I heard his earnest request: "Please, God, don't let those cars block the entrance to McDonald's."

What are your Thoughts?
